HI - Medical Transcriptionist

Please remember your e-mail address on your application as that is where you will be contacted. Expect 1.25 – 1.5 hours for a series of 7-8 tests. If your test results are favorable, you will be called for an interview.

 

Role and Responsibilities

1.

Accurately and efficiently transcribe medical audio dictations to electronic health record.

2.

Understand and show efficiencies in using Winscribe and Dragon dictation software.

3.

Copy/paste dictations from multiple sources in to electronic health record.

4.

Transcribe from tapes using Dictaphone transcriber machine.

5.

Communicate with physicians, nurses and co-workers to create an efficient work environment

6.

Protect the confidentiality of patient’s personal, financial, and medical information

7.

Other duties as assigned by the department manager, lead receptionist or physician

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

1.

Positive attitude!

2.

Minimum 2 years-experience transcribing in medical setting.

Type minimum 65/wpm

4

Type and spell accurately

5

High school graduate

7.

Flexible to adapt to changing on-call hours and clinic coverage needs

8.

Ability to adapt to quickly changing situations

9.

Must be willing to learn and work as a team

10.

Demonstrates strong communication and organizational skills, ability to prioritize, detail oriented, prompt, reliable and enjoy a fast pace environment
